October is one of the busiest months of the year for London restaurant openings, and 2026 is no exception. From a long-awaited Dishoom to a Persian newcomer in Marylebone and the country’s biggest Italian restaurant, here are the openings worth knowing about.
Dishoom, London Bridge (12 October 2026)
It has been a while since the last full Dishoom opened, and this one lands right next to Borough Market in the historic Hop Exchange. Expect the beloved Bombay comfort food, from bacon naan rolls to house chai, in yet another beautiful room.
Soraya, Marylebone (15 October 2026)
From the team behind Lagana and Bottarga, Soraya is a Persian-inspired restaurant that has been softly open to a limited few. The official launch brings its full menu to Marylebone.
Juno, Olympia (16 October 2026)
The latest opening at the revitalised Olympia site, Juno promises to be the largest Italian restaurant in the country. One for big occasions.
Market Place, Victoria (16 October 2026)
The popular food hall group opens its latest site inside Victoria station, its first actually located in a station. Ideal for commuters and pre-theatre bites.
Bubala, Covent Garden (19 October 2026)
The Middle Eastern-inspired vegetarian restaurant opens its fourth London site, and its largest yet, in Covent Garden.
Cordelia’s, Mayfair (14 October 2026)
A new Mayfair steakhouse taking over the old Robuchon spot. Expect high-end cuts in one of London’s most prestigious dining rooms.
Alto 19, Canary Wharf (15 October 2026)
From the group behind Lina Stores and Kricket, a high-rise Mediterranean restaurant with an ex-Daphne’s chef, bringing serious dining to the Wharf’s skyline.
The Prince Arthur, Chelsea (6 October 2026)
No longer a pub, The Prince Arthur moves to Chelsea as a Basque-style restaurant, with a bar upstairs.
ROAST, Shoreditch (late October 2026)
After more than two decades at Borough Market, the acclaimed modern British restaurant opens its second London site at Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch. The 135-cover space, designed as a contemporary Victorian-inspired urban conservatory, will serve everything from breakfast to the signature Sunday roast.
Carmelina’s at The Webster, Covent Garden (October 2026)
The Italian-accented restaurant at the new 167-room Webster hotel, with handmade pasta and a Milanese coffee-bar-inspired terrace. Chef Simone Serafini, formerly of Bocconcino and Cecconi’s, leads the kitchen.
Booking advice
October openings fill fast, especially the big names. Book Dishoom and Bubala well ahead, and keep an eye on soft-launch offers, which often mean discounted bills in the first weeks.
