London’s hotel scene is having a bumper autumn, with new openings from Mayfair to Covent Garden. Whether you want boutique charm or grand luxury, here are the new arrivals to know.

The Shepherd Mayfair (October 2026)

Taking over the former Park Lane Mews Hotel at 2 Stanhope Row, The Shepherd Mayfair brings 82 individually configured rooms and suites across six floors, with rates from 500 pounds per night. The all-day restaurant Fayre serves European classics with seasonal British produce, think lobster and prawn brioche, beef short rib croquettes and a beef Wellington pithivier. There is also The Lounge, a cafe-style space with a terrace, and Teddy’s, a speakeasy-style late-night cocktail bar.

The Webster Covent Garden (October 2026)

Formerly the Club Quarters Hotel on Lincoln’s Inn Fields, this 167-bedroom hotel has had a full makeover. The food and drink is Italian-accented: Carmelina’s, the main restaurant, serves handmade pasta under chef Simone Serafini, while a Milanese coffee-bar-inspired terrace and the late-night Carla’s bar complete the offering.

Hyde and Seek, Lancaster Gate (opened September 2026)

Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio has opened this 309-bedroom hotel opposite Hyde Park following a 42 million pound transformation. Victorian grandeur meets Moroccan-inspired design, with Seekers Restaurant and Bar plus HydeOut, an all-day cafe lounge and co-working space. Rooms from 279 pounds.

St Regis London, Mayfair (November 2026)

The old Westbury Mayfair has undergone a 90 million pound transformation into a St Regis, with 193 rooms including a terraced penthouse. The signature restaurant will be Le Perroquet, an all-day French brasserie from Michelin-starred chef Daniel Rose. One of the most anticipated openings of the year.

Which should you book?
